As of April 7th, 2020, the board of Johnson Clean Energy District has officially postponed the launch of our STEP pilot program until further notice, in response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of our team members, volunteers, and the Johnson County community is of the highest importance to the organization. JCED will also be holding all coming board and committee meetings virtually until in-person meetings are considered safe for all participants, and staff will be working remotely. We join with other local organizations to mitigate the spread of the disease, keeping more community members safe.
JCED would also like to thank all essential workers for their commitment and service during this difficult time. We understand and appreciate that not all people in our community have the opportunity to work safely from home. Your continued work keeps our local economy viable and provides necessary services to us all. We believe the best way to support you is to limit our exposure to you to the best of our ability in order to reduce the risk of viral spread to you, and we do this by staying home whenever possible. From doctors, care-workers, and nurses to restaurant-workers, public servants, and transport operators — JCED thanks you.
